Sounds like something's not quite right. YouTube doesn't need your computer to have a driver. You may need to update Shockwave, which is what your computer uses for videos, but it's free, and usually you get told you need to get a current version when you try to view a video. Of course, I haven't had XP for about 12 years, so I'm not sure about what it might be telling you.
