I've just recommended this tune to another Mudcatter, gillymor, so I am refreshing the thread.

This thread began in 1998 and 3 years ago it was still getting unwrapped from it's tissue paper from the attic chest.

It's also a wonderful example of how the folk process works in sending a tune around the world and back again, and a testament to Mudcat for providing the forum so that people like Alan Day, one of the band members of the group called Rosbif, can come in and share his knowledge of the tune.

The tune is special, in my opinion, and still one of my all time favourites, so it deserves another airing before going back into the attic again.
