In far south Poland, just across the Slovakian border, we had music that sounded Bulgarian, and we ate bread with a chunky, grey-colored spread.. It was absolutely delicious, whatever the spread was. I think maybe it was spiced lard with bacon chunks, but I wish I knew exactly what it was.
I'm sure my cardiologist wouldn't like it, but it was like a trip to heaven.
