Having lived in San Bernardino in the past,( San Andreas fault goes right through it), I've experienced a fair number of quakes. Most exciting one was the Sylmar quake in '70?. My sister and brother-in-law had just gotten married and were living with me.I slept on a roll-away bed on a bare hardwood floor. When the quake hit, I grabbed the edges of the bed and hung on.I think I bounced off all 4 walls several times. When it was all over I could hear the two of them talking and laughing nervously in their room.My loud comment to them was, " I know you guys are newlyweds, but that was ridiculous."
