When I was in grade school, we had a math assignment where we had to count beans. Our teacher made a joke that we shouldn't put them in our ears and sang a little bit of the song. Sure enough, one of my classmates stuck a bean in his ear and after many failed attempts to dislodge it, was finally taken to a hospital emergency room. A true victim of folk music (also, an idiot).
