Horrible things can happen through inexperience or sheer incompetence, and when they happen you immediately throw your hands in the air and take responsibility. Instead, we've had the supporters of a great football club systematically demonised for decades in order to save a few guilty skins, a whole city demonised in some ways. Ordinary football fans who paid good money to travel to an FA Cup semi-final, expecting a great day out, mums, dads, the kids, brothers and sisters, who should have been kept safe, but who were instead put in mortal danger. And for 27 years their poor families have had to endure the smears of ruthless people in the police and media. I don't think that hoping the book is thrown at these out-and-out bastards is a desire for revenge, rather it's a call to see justice continue to take its proper course. The families have been brilliant. So brave. Love winning through in the end.

And that bloody "newspaper" will never darken my doorstep, that's for sure.
