By definition epic poetry deals with heroic, sweeping, themes such as Cuchulain's defense of Ulster, the siege and destruction of Troy, or the Nibelunglied. I will grant that the eight year attempt by Diarmid O'Leary to take over Aer Lingus has sweep in time, but hardly in subject. Translating the story of Da Dearga's hostel also may be considered a subject worthy of a hero, but again it is hardly has the sweep and grandeur of, say, "Eiríks saga rauða" or "Grœnlendinga saga".

As for your humble poem, it is quite nice.
