This weekend I made the executive decision to exchange the old battered Tupperware pieces (lots of sizes and shapes, most still with lids) for a new set of BPA free Rubbermaid containers. Amazon had a sale, and these are nicely designed to keep the lids close by (they fit onto the foot of each container). Then I pulled out all of the "poor man's Tupperware" (the take-out containers) and before tossing them into the recycle bin had second thoughts and put them in a large container that lives on top of the large upright freezer. I will be freezing a lot of produce this year, so I'll hold onto those for season, but they're out of my kitchen cabinets. The Tupperware will go on eBay. And there is so much room in that lower cupboard now!
