Additional note:

If mudcat is completely off air I test it with "isitdownrightnow"..

Doesn't matter whether it's red for YES - DOWN FOR EVERYONE, or green for NO - JUST YOU..

I still can't get mudcat to open for anything up to a few hours.

..and when it is on line for me, opening a thread can take ages before it is responsive to clicking, scrolling and posting...

so is MOAB the culprit just lately...???
