On Sunday I bought a Wrangler men's workshirt. It has chest pockets with flaps, and above one pocket is a mysterious tab. The tab is 2 3/4" by 3/4", and it lies horizontally about 1" above the pocket. There is a small square of Velcro at the inner end.

The DH and I are completely baffled by this tab. It doesn't hold a pencil or a cell phone. You can't use it to guide something into the pocket. What is it for?
