It's the best way, Ewan. You never forget then. I learned this when I bought my dishwasher. The salesman warned me never to remove the hose from the hot water tap without releasing the pressure valve. I looked blank. He sighed and said "Oh well, you'll only do it once." He was right. One faceful of scalding water was all it took. I always remember to release the valve now.
