In addition to the fawn / swan difference, there seem to be some other floating verses and details- the happy rival maidens; the remorse and blame re: the gun; Jimmy's visceral reaction. I'm wondering if these travel with each other from version to version... has anyone taken the time to correlate? It's high garden time here in Maine-waiting for a rainy day
