No - I meant a full general-purpose version of Linux, such as you and I use. As opposed to a restricted, locked-down, idiot-proof, and in the case of Chrome OS, online-only system.

In my experience Linux is mainly suitable for the technically competent and curious, and that without personal help most ordinary ex-Windows people can't make the change. Easier to pay Microsoft for a familiar and easily supported system, despite its security problems. Which is sensible.
