Hi. I was at boarding school (Cheshire, UK) in the 60s and Matron used to sing Goodnight Mr Moon to the whole dorm of us just before lights out at night. I've since sung it to my own 3 children and several children I've childminded and fostered - they've all loved it!! Our version is the same as the original one Sarah posted.
