Thread Name: BS: Schulz's 'Peanuts'
Subject: RE: BS: Schulz's 'Peanuts'
I've been to Charles Schulz' grave site in Santa Rosa, California. It has a 'Peanuts' statue nearby but the headstone itself is simply his name and military rank in WWII.

I remember what a touchstone Peanuts was for more than one generation. During the 60s a famous poster had a pregnant Lucy with her fist in the air: "This is YOUR FAULT Charlie Brown!"

Also loved Calvin and Hobbes snowman assemblies. I remember being in a set of offices on the North Slope of Alaska with many of these taped to the walls.

Also remember a good natured comic strip from California called "Gordo" It depicted the activities of a Mexican worker and his family. His nephew was always picking on their house cat "Poosy Gato!" The drawings had distinctive charm and expanded cultural awareness.
