One of my favourite receipts. I created this dish myself and you can vary it according to your needs.
1 regular sized can of hominy (white, yellow, or one can of each)
Cubed ham or slices of smoked sausage
Some chopped onions
Some chopped bell peppers (various colors make it attractive)
Some salt and pepper
Some Tryme Tiger Sauce
Melt the butter and cook the sausage, onions, and peppers in it. When they are cooked add the hominy. Put on some salt and pepper. Use some Tiger Sauce (this is not exactly a hot sauce, so taste!).
Serve on warmed or unwarmed plates. Stick some parsley on top or sprinkle on some paprika to make it extra fancy.
NB: You can use pazole seco, available at many mercados, but it takes a lot longer to prepare than using canned hominy since it's best to start the night before.
