One should not confuse the properties of Gluon the Duckdog with those of gluon, the subatomic particle. Gluon the particle has a spin of 1. Gluon the Duckdog has a spin of whatever he damned well feels like at the moment*. Also, among Gluon the Duckdog's properties is a timeshare on Maui, while the properties of subatomic particle gluon do not include any real estate.

* Actually, gluon doesn't do anything "at the moment" since he doesn't experience time as the "one-way street" we humans do. For Gluon, all "moments" exist eternally. "At the moment" is merely an analogy comprehensible to humans. The chances of a human actually understanding time as experienced by Gluon are about the same as those of a Slow Loris understanding orbital dynamics.
