My Mum used to pull the kissing crust of the side of batch loaves and eat it on the way home - those layers of bread where the loaves touched, that peel off really easily, and taste warm and soft from the oven....I need a baker with a proper brick oven - NOW! I need a small farmhouse loaf, that I can eat a third of by itself, and a third with butter, and a third with butter and strawberry jam - NOW!
