William Clauson toured New Zealand in - 1955/1957 and again in 1961 and I had the pleasure of meeting him after each of these concerts. I also enjoyed some correspondence with him for a short time. He wrote me on one occasion and spoke of a 45 e.p.recording of 'New Zealand flavoured songs' as he put it which he had made in Wellington. More recently I wrote briefly to his web-sight and received a reply from Patrick Clauson who may be his son and he explained that William was-at that time-still working mainly in Stockholm where he lives.
