That house does sound like the runner-up for the film Money Pit.. Maybe it is time to let someone take on the challenge, before you kill yourself falling through the kitchen floor into the basement. I'm glad that everything at the Beaver house seems to be falling in to place.

I mowed the front yard this morning then had friends over for lunch and a long visit; there was enough time left in the afternoon for a nap and then I pulled weeds out of the bed beside the kitchen door. I still have more work to do, but for this weekend I hope to clear out the weeds and grass so the cilantro seeds that fell in that area last spring will seed and give me a good crop over the winter. As I worked out there I realized my jeans were sagging a bit, something they haven't done for a while. I've gone back to the alternate day fasting this fall.

I have weeded out at least 3/4 of the VHS tapes from a shelf in the hall (most of them were recordings that are now easily available online), and this weekend I've started digitizing some of the films that don't seem to be available on DVD or streaming. Or at a reasonable price. This is a slow process, to play them in real time to AVI and then process the file into an mp4 format.

The oddball things I listed on eBay are selling, so I need to list more stuff. I wish people were better about posting feedback; I'd guess that only 1 in 5 ever post feedback.
