Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Children of '16 (Declan O'Rourke)
Rattled, skid and tore. Meaning. if I can explain.. The old hand carts had wooden wheels with metal outer rims and were fixed very loosly to a metal axle, so they "rasttled" when moved, and "Skid" when moved fast around a bend because of the metal rimmed wheel, and tear or "tore" is a slang verb for run fast or move fast. Example.. He tore down the road at some speed. Hope this helps
