Big trade-off today; decluttered a lemon automobile that required way more repairs than reasonable for a vehicle of it's age and mileage. I discovered it was on a list of vehicles to avoid (Consumer Reports - Buyers Guide). I've researched vehicles for several weeks anyway, and when I learned today that the extent of front end repairs added up to nearly $2000, I headed across the street to the used car lot of the dealership and picked out an SUV that isn't on the avoid list and is several years newer with lower mileage. I broke even on the lemon - they paid off the loan, and I am now driving a better and larger vehicle. Room for more of the stuff I haul around (I won't have to ask friends with pickups to make a run to the hardware store for me).
