Mr Red Goathland Plough Stots are a longsword team one of the very few traditional teams left in the country. At the SDU longsword tournament held in the village last week end they did field a side made up of village lads but in the main they dance out with a mixture of locals and adoptees. I was adopted by them some 10 years ago, I don't dance but play the mouthie for them. They also field a ladies side now.
