Hi all, my first visit to Mudcat for over a year just seen this Jack Forbes thread. I knew Jack personally very well and he was smashing to know! Very talented, very modest, very smiley. I unknowingly parked outside his house to go to Hoy at Anchor and he came out and we walked together to club. He told me an anecdote about being at a club once and someone sung Rolling Down River. A friend of Jacks asked the singer if he knew who sung that song? He replied "yes Jack Forbes, but he's dead now" Jack's friend ran over to Jack & said come with me . . . he then introduced "dead" Jack to the singer !! For all that are wondering I also asked Jack "What does TEU stand for?" and his reply was "Nothing, I made it up, it just went in the line" Jack did a whole evening spot at The Sun in Billericay and I was there - it was a super evening and now VERY glad I saw it.
