I'm sure they care very much about what they set out to do. i.e. Sell guitars using whatever is the most appropriate tool.

The cost of running such events in the light of falling sales of luxury goods at the middle income level (where most acoustics are sold) means extravagant events will become less often as manufacturers bankrolling them tighten their belts.
