Slight thread drift, but if I am recording myself, and I go wrong, I find I just get screwed up if I stop and start again,and then become even MORE liable to mistakes on a re-take. So I just carry on playing until I get it right, then chop out the bad bits and link up the good bits to make a complete recording of a tune or song. My editing skills have improved a lot!
