It's not "psychedelic" which in my mind, comes from a search for enlightenment. People looking for themselves and looking for the magic by using psychoactive substance. More input, more awareness, more paying attention. It's a lot different than getting numb on alcohol and/or weed. You can make the kind of music that focuses on being gonzo stupid, but it has a limited audience and a limited shelf life. Mostly it's stuff you can play with friends while getting gonzo stupid, but it's like the stuff that's funny while you're stoned: nobody else is going to appreciate it much.

Too many people end up with the drugs being more important than the music, and I think the people in this thread who seem most offended are bothered by that.

The tunes have hooks, and the songs could likely be pretty good. Listen to Will Fly - he knows what he's talking about.
