Tthe Stuff NZ news site widened it to "celebrities" in general. Hardly any I've ever heard of, and the only name that growing up in NZ helped me with was Ray Columbus, though I couldn't have told you what he did.

I have no audio or video recordings of any of the people on either the Stuff list or michaelr's, apart from Ralph Stanley. (Might get some Leonard Cohen and Mode Allison sometime). Though I do have several CDs of Peter Maxwell Davies (d. 14 March), not mentioned by either.

From where I'm sitting it looks more like a cull of the irrelevant than an occasion for paroxysmal grief.
