Thread Name: Lyr Req: The Wind Blows High Jump Rope Lyrics
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The Wind Blows High Jump Rope Lyrics
What I remember from third grade in 1960 in Northern Minnesota is a kind of "duck-duck-goose" sort of grade school game where a (named) child would walk around while the song was chanted and "choose" the next person who would then stand up and walk around with the new name being chanted and so on and so on.....

The wind, the wind, the wind blows high,
The snow comes falling from the sky,
(Name) says she'd (he'd) like to try,
She's (He's) the girl (boy) of the golden city.
She (He) is handsome, she (he) is witty,
She (He) is the girl (boy) of the golden city,
She (He) shall choose 1-2-3, you are the one that it will be.

I only remember the one verse ever being used.
