The rule of law is paramount; it holds us ALL to account regardless and our politicians make the laws and are bound by them.

The Speaker has the responsibility of protecting the integrity of parliament, and he acted fun the best interests of parliament. We're not quite a US arse limpet again yet, but if you're interested in democracy (you're not) then at least making it look like we can make our own decisions and are strong enough to stand by them is a start.
