"The people" that voted for Twitler were an ignorant or gullible or hypocritical(in the case of the "Christian"[sic] vote) lot or all three.
And theey were a minority of voters.

"The People" also voted for Hitler, Tailgunner Joe
McCarthy, Nixon, Pitchfork Ben Tillman, etc.
