Thread Name: Lyr Add: two Irish language songs Wedding in Cana
Subject: RE: Lyr Add: two Irish language songs Wedding in Cana
Very nice, thank you!

The second song translates roughly as:

At the marriage there was in Cana, the King of Grace was there in person
Him and Mary Mother, and wasn't the wedding beautiful?
There was wealth at the table, and wine wanting for them
And the water they had, wasn't it delicious?

Loyal God, Jesus, bright King of the world
Who wore the crown of thorns and endured sacrifice on the cross
His laceration and his flagellation by people without love
[this line's meaning is unclear to me]

And the finest treasure is the King of Glory to us in our hoard
His blood and flesh as provision for our sins
Do not put your hope in yellow gold or in wealth
Because it's as deceptive as the mist, compared to the glory of Heaven.
