Today I disturbed dust and dog hair as (with the help of my ex) we assembled a new computer desk with a crank for raising and lowering. This work station will let me stand and work and feel better than when I sit all day long at work then come home and sit some more to work on my own stuff.

Amazing how many pieces of equipment are part of this setup. Computer and power supply, printer, scanner, 2 monitors, 2 keyboards and 2 mouse (don't ask) and several external drives. A box for converting VHS tapes to digital AVI files, USB hub, two VHS players, and a whole bunch of stuff I'm forgetting. Only knocked over one thing so far (knock wood). Some of those external drives need to be retired, once I figure out if they all work and what's in them.

MOM probably wouldn't be happy to know that there's still a mess in the den. Large pieces of cardboard and styrofoam packing materials that go to waste because there are no children here to build a fort behind the sofa or in their room.
