A chap in our village (he lives a few doors from us, on his own) celebrated his ninety-ninth Birthday yesterday. He was born in this village and has lived here all his life. The amazing thing is, he's as fit as a flea and STILL DRIVES!!! We pointed out that next year, for his hundredth Birthday, he'd get a card from the Queen. He said, "Cor blaaast, oi'd raaather hev a noice bartle o' bair. Dew yew reckon she'd send me wun?" We fell about laughing. He's a wonderful old man!
