It sounds like the diagnosis could have been worse, but still . . . .
I would rather not have an outpatient shoulder replacement, either. Hospitals are no fun, but I've nobody at home to help out, and I'd want to be sure my shoulder was working before being sent away. I suppose even after an inpatient surgery I'd soon be sent somewhere for therapy. Of course, now it seems insurance companies, not doctors, decide what one "needs."
