A very entertaining man. He did a marathon gig at the folk club in Bude one night in the 1990s and he let me accompany him (I didn't ask!) on one of his songs, Whiskey In The Jar I think. He told a damn good yarn. We also saw him at the 1993 Cornwall Folk Festival one afternoon. Johnny O'Leary was there too, behind the scenes plying Noel with pints during his stint, which were very well received!
