Come on guys, give yourselves a break and get real.....
Let's turn the clock back just a little bit, and look at a couple of 'protest songs' that were effective, and WHY, OK?

Two songs that came out in the early '60's that REALLY got people's attention were Barry McGuire's 'Eve of Destruction' and Joan Baez, singing Phil Ochs', 'There But For Fortune', OK??...Why did they work??
Mainly because they were more of a 'social commentary', that addressed ALL of us...not just the 'perceived right OR left'....Those two songs blew people away, and WHY?? Besides being done very well, they caused people to THINK!!!...re-examine their priorities, of the 'established 'norm'....they were an eye-opening commentary of what we allowed ourselves to think what was just 'everyday outlooks'..and it cut through how we were so thoughtlessly accepting of the 'status quo'!!
They MADE US THINK AND CONSIDER!!!

The stuff you're ranting about, is reckless name calling, and poorly taking 'aim', '...just to say hurray for our side', (CSN), 'For What It's Worth')' ....but it's time we STOP...Hey look around everybody knows what's goin' down..."....except, how can you know what's going down, when you WILL NOT be objective about what you 'perceive' that the news media, (read: propaganda) is shoving down your throats...whether it's even true or not!!....but, IF it is 'tailor fit' for 'your side' of the divide, you gobble it down as if it were delivered from up on high!!!

The way things have devolved, you/we, are being spoon fed utter hogwash, favoring whatever side, that it is designed to upset!!!
Some of the things that have come out, critical of either side, whatever your flavor, perhaps should be considered, FROM THE OTHER POINT OF VIEW!!!

The 'so called right' sees the 'so-called left' as being 'wrong'...while the 'so-called left' sees the 'so called right' as being 'evil'....and truth to tell, the extremes are both full of shit!!..and both of them have been hypocrites beyond belief!!....THAT has become the 'norm'.....and, just like years ago, a GOOD 'social commentary', addressing this 'status quo' WOULD BE EFFECTIVE!!!....but you know why it isn't being done???......because, the desired effect is a mental and emotional BRAIN-LOCK...by DESIGN!!!.....and like a bunch of idiots, it's NOT being addressed.
Like I just posted before, 'Intelligence is the ability to process information'......and everybody's 'filters' are clogged with bullcrap!

Do you REALLY want to be like the people you fear and hate???....or do you have a 'better way'??

You NEED to be objective, to make a 'social commentary/protest song' work...otherwise, you just become more of the same old worthless flap!!

THINK ABOUT IT!!...GET CLEAR!!...Venting more hostile frustration says NOTHING!!.....

...except how uncomfortable you are being tangled in the puppet master's strings!....and that's a FACT!
