Thread Name: Lyr Req: Tiens, tiens, tiens
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Tiens, tiens, tiens
There's a bouncing one here, it's a traditional song from Picardy (Northern France). The lyrics below the video are in Picard French dialect and are followed by a standard French translation. I've added an English literal translation below.

Tiens, tiens, tiens

Tiens, tiens, tiens, vlå tchiot Jin qui rvient
Ravizez com.me il å boin.ne mine
Tiens, tiens, tiens, vlå tchiot Jin qui rvient
Ravizez com.me i rit de loin
Ravizez com.me il å boin.ne mine
Ravizez com.me i rit de loin
Ravizez com.me il å boin.ne mine
Ravizez com.me i rit de loin

Viens dins min tchiot clotchier
Y å dla vinette, Y å de la vinette
Viens dins min tchiot clotchier
Y å dla vinette pi du gerdré

Tiens, tiens, tiens / traduction

Tiens, tiens, tiens, voilà petit Jean qui revient
Regardez comme il a bonne mine
Tiens, tiens, tiens, voilà petit Jean qui revient
Regardez comme il rit de loin

Regardez comme il a bonne mine
Regardez comme il rit de loin
Regardez comme il a bonne mine
Regardez comme il rit de loin

Viens dans mon petit clocher
Il y a du vin, il y a du vin (peut-être du mauvais vin !)
Viens dans mon petit clocher
Il y a du vin et du mauvais cidre.

English translation

Look, look, look, here's little/young John coming back
Look how good he looks,
Look, look, look, here's little/young John coming back
Look how he laughs from afar.

Look how good he looks,
Look how he laughs from afar,
Look how good he looks,
Look how he laughs from afar.

Come to my little steeple*
There's wine, there's wine (maybe bad wine!)
Come to my little steeple,
There's wine and bad cider**.

*steeple here means parish, village, hometown.
**"cidre" in French is always sparkling cider.
