Shall we agree to disagree, children, without the invective?

Herewith my own small and rough-edged contribution to the anti-Trump repertoire:

In a cold new USA
There has dawned a darker day
And I hear a different rumbling in the land
Hate and fear from shore to shore
As the bigots' voices roar
'Tis the raucous cry of Donald's brainless band

Chorus:
Trump! Trump! Trump!
The thugs are marching
The White Crusade is rallying again
The times that try men's souls
Are upon us – on they roll
And it's up to us to shout our answer plain

Do we vent our righteous rage
On the easy Facebook page?
Do we tell ourselves there is no other way?
Or do we raise the banner high
Say "Yes, we can!" for if we try
Might we make a different, brighter, better day?
