I have just learned of the death of Oliver Burns, better known to many on the cat as "ard mhacha".

It seems he passed away several weeks ago.

I got an email from Terry Devlin in County Tyrone telling me that he had tried calling him and emailing him recently and was informed by his surviving brother that he passed away in January of this year.

Oliver will always be remembered here for his knowledge of music and his love of debate.

All our thoughts and prayers are with his family circle.
