Tim's new coffee "recipe" is a tightly held secret. It used to be made from discarded stir sticks picked up by trained pigeons that scoured city and country and were paid in stale doughnuts but that ended when Tim's started using the plastic stir sticks. I can only assume the new recipe is worse.
I haven't been to Tim's since I worked night shift on a construction project for the installation of a new halon fire suppression system at the Nav Canada Air Traffic Control complex across the river from me. That was around 1995. I drank Tim's coffee mid-shift for three weeks. I still spit when I remember it. Besides, I don't buy coffee. It amazes me to see the Driv-Thrus jammed with people running their vehicle engines... I should write a goddam letter!
Fun fact from Mr. Google : Moncton has the most Tim Hortons per capita in Canada. Despite having a population of just 64,128, the city of Moncton, New Brunswick, has a staggering 22 full-sized Tim Hortons franchises. That equates to 1 restaurant for every 2,915 residents. Jul 1, 2009
And there are a lot more now. Plus, if you add the adjacent city of Dieppe and town of Riverview, including the Driv-Thru-onlys, well, I dare to say it's one helluva an environmental footprint.
