When Joe did a house concert at Sinsull's in South Portland, Maine, USA in March 2009, he made several short videos of Curmudgeon (Tom Hall) -- the last recordings of Tom before his voice gave out completely in June and he was diagnosed with vocal cord cancer in September.

Joe recorded Tom singing "Bound Away for Australia" and "The Battle of Bull Run".

Joe was a fine and knowledgeable singer and a lovely person. I'm glad our paths crossed and I got to meet him. And I'm saddened by his passing.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
