For my bicycle, an ability to track itself and send me messages for no cost so it could say "Help! I have been stolen and am at 42 Primrose Gardens, Paris 19, France" and I could go and rescue it.

For drivers, a strong desire to cycle all journeys under 5km (3 miles).
