OH! MOLLY MCINTYRE (I'LL BE A SCOTCHMAN FOR YOU)
Words and music by Fred Godfrey and Billy Williams, ©1913
As recorded by Billy Williams.

1. Patrick Malone
From county Tyrone
Found himself one day in Aberdeen.
He met up there
A Scotch lass so fair,
The neatest and the sweetest ever seen.
She worked inside a fact'ry making jam there all the day.
Young Pat would meet her coming out and raise his hat and say:

CHORUS: "Oh, Molly McIntyre,
You're the girl I do admire.-[1]
You'll make my poor heart ache.
You're sweeter than the jam you make.
I'll do anything for you.
I'll change my name to McAdoo.
I'll wear a kilt and look so bold.
I'll even kiss you with a cold.[2]
I'll be a Scotchman for you."[3]

2. "Molly, my dear,"
Says Patrick, "look here.
We'll be nice and happy, you and me.
Though Irish I am,
I'll please you, my lamb.
We … without a family.
When he comes along my dear, well, easy does the trick.
To save a lot of trouble, we will call him Sandy Mick." CHORUS TWICE.

1. On one of the repeats, he sings "You're an awf'ly little—I never said it!" (I don't know what he had in mind.)
2. I doubt this is correct, but I couldn't come up with anything better, so I left it as you quoted it.
3. On one of the repeats he sings: "I'll sit on a thistle for you."
