Here is an additional verse which has been sung for several years by someone I know at one of my folk clubs. I finally noted these words but as to the provenance, I don't have any information. If anyone does, please share!

"I left her still singing that beautiful song
I hope she will find her own love before long
To share all the good days, the summers for years
The sweetness of caring, the joys and the tears"
