The only time I buy bottles of water is when I'm in the departure lounge. I won't drink alcohol on flights and the water guards against dehydration, which seems to creep up insidiously during flights. I can't understand the affectation that appears to oblige large numbers of people to lug plastic bottles around with them like comfort blankets.
