The Rom Shanty Crew sang at last year's Barking Folk Festival, and we felt it really needed an informal singers and musicians session away from the main arena.
On Saturday 10th June 2017, we are inviting all singers and musicians to join us at The Boathouse Cafe & Bar, 80 Abbey Road, Barking, IG11 7BT. It is a lovely venue with a terrace overlooking Barking Creek, and about 10 minutes walk from the Festival site. We will be there from 12 Noon onwards, and finish time will depend on how many people turn up to support the event. It would be great if we could keep it going throughout the afternoon, until perhaps 5pm or 6pm.
We are circulating flyers to local folk clubs and if you could tell your friends about it, that would be great!
