We had a TV like that - even smaller, probably - till after I'd grown up and left home. It was bought in the '50s - they made'm to last, then. Anyway, one of the local children, from a bit of a rough home, was quoted as telling his parents that our TV was "so goddamn small, you have to have to stand in a line and take turns watching it!"
