'Catters from Sheffield and environs may remember Betty Hemmings – a lovely woman with a wonderful sense of fun and a mischievous twinkle in her eye – a real ray of sunshine! She moved to Solihull to live near her daughters some years ago; sad news has come to us of her death just a few weeks ago.
Her funeral/celebration will be held at Stannington Church on Tuesday 30th May at 1pm.
Ladies are requested to wear something sparkly and guys can also wear something bright.
Food and drinks afterwards at the Crown and Glove, 2 minutes walk from the church.

Please PM me on Mudcat (or Vikki Appleton Fielden on fb) if you're planning to go to the pub, so that the family can get an idea of how much food will be needed.
Do come by even if you cannot make it to the service. Voices, guitars and other implements of music-making and merriment will be welcome at the pub! Please help pass the word/feel free to invite other friends of Betty's that you may know.
