Amongst the many jobs my daughter has done, she spent some time working in the smaller, more "arty" London theatres doing odd jobs like selling programmes, acting as usher, selling tickets and similar roles. In that position she met a lot of very well known actors, such as Michael Gambon and Jeremy Irons. She tells me that all the actors she met who had "made it" were down to earth like that. "Call me Mike" had his arm in a cast and was very concerned that he wasnt putting her to any trouble sorting out seating where it wouldnt get knocked.

As you might guess, it was the actors still striving to make a name who were more likely to be a nuisance.
